Course Description: 

Communication and Media Literacy is a mandatory course of the study program and contains theories, principles, methods, and practices of communication and media. The Communication and Media Literacy course discusses various communication and media theories and their implications for the field of visual communication design in examining various aspects of information media forms, persuasion, education, and administration, both conventional and digital media. Students are expected to have the ability to package messages and get to know various media to process information effectively in accordance with the development of science and technology.


Program Learning Outcomes (PLO): 

PLO-1: Able to implement logical, critical, systematic, and innovative thinking in developing or implementing science and technology by upholding humanity's values in carrying out tasks based on religion, morals, and ethics.

PLO-4: Able to apply and utilize theories, principles, knowledge, communication tools, and media for the design and production of visual communication works. 


Courses Learning Outcomes (CLO): 

CLO-1: [PLO-4] CLO-1- Able to apply logical thinking skills in the context of developing or implementing science and technology. 

CLO-2: [PLO-1] CLO-2 - Able to implement theories, principles, and knowledge of communication and media for designing visual communication design works.
